Inuvik RCMP investigate aggravated assault, no suspects

Police are investigating a case of aggravated assault after an Inuvik man was found lying on Bonnetplume Road Sunday morning.

At 10:10 a.m. Sunday, police were called to Bonnetplume Road. There they found an injured man, who was later transported by medevac to Edmonton for treatment of what police are calling ‘serious injuries.’

Inuvik RCMP along with the Major Crimes Unit are investigating, with no suspects yet identified.

Anyone who may have witnessed a fight or any suspicious activity in the area are being asked to call Inuvik RCMP at 867-777-1111. They can also do so anonymously, through Crime Stoppers, at 1-800-222-TIPS.
