Easter hours guide for Yellowknife

With Easter on the way, certain facilities and stores in Yellowknife will not be open during their regular hours. Myyellowknifenow.com will be providing updates as to what places are running on different schedules for the Holiday. Make sure to plan your schedule around these changes accordingly.

City Hall –
Friday, April 19th – closed – Monday, April 22nd – closed

Yellowknife Public Library –
Friday, April 19th – 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Saturday, April 20th – 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, April 21st – 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Monday, April 22nd – 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Solid Waste Facility –
Friday, April 19th – closed – Saturday, April 20th – 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Sunday, April 21st – 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Monday, April 22nd – closed

Ruth Inch Memorial Pool –
Friday, April 19th – 12:00 p.m. – 2:55 p.m. – Saturday, April 20th – 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, April 21st – 12:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. – Monday, April 22nd – 12:00 p.m. – 2:55 p.m.

No swimming lessons will be taught on Easter weekend.

The Fieldhouse and Multiplex hours will remain the same as usual.

As for grocery shopping, both independent grocers will be running during their normal hours, and the liquor store will be closed Friday but will remain on the same schedule for the rest of the weekend. The holiday hours for the Co-op have yet to be confirmed.

Update: Hay River RCMP alert public to police action on Pine Cresent

Update: Hay River police issued a statement at about 11: 30 p.m. Monday that the police operation in the town has concluded. RCMP said more updates will be provided as soon as more information is available, but added there is no risk to the public at this time.
