The #LiardRiver ice crossings to Fort Simpson and to Nahanni Butte and the #MackenzieRiver ice crossing to Wrigley could close for the season in 72 hours or sooner. Conditions could warrant a sudden closure. Low clearance vehicles are not allowed to transit these ice crossings.

The Sambaa K’e and Mackenzie Valley winter roads are closed for the season. Tlicho winter roads are open for night travel only.
The infrastructure department is warning people that travel on closed winter roads is ‘unsafe and illegal.’ A fine of $863 is possible if travellers are caught driving on a closed winter road.
