Yellowknifer wins the lottery

One lucky Yellowknife resident has won the lottery. The Western Canadian Lottery Corporation has announced that the Yellowknife winner has won themselves $13,347.80 in Poker Lotto All In.

The lucky winner was Philip Liske who bought his ticket at Reddi Mart on 49th Street. His second Poker Lotto hand matched a Straight Flush, winning $1,000, plus $12,347.80 on All In. Liske described the moment when he won.

“I bought three hands, the first one came up, not a winner; then the second one came up, and a whole bunch of numbers were on the screen!”

Liske had a simple plan on how he is going to use the money he won.

“I’m going to pay some bills,”

All In was added to Poker Lotto in February 2018. All In is an optional wager that can be played with Poker Lotto, and it gives players a chance at a jackpot that grows with every ticket sold.
