Over the next six weeks, NWT MLAs and cabinet members will debate several pieces of legislation as well as the 2019-2020 budget.
The third session of the 18th Legislative Assembly begins February 5th at 1:30 p.m., with discussions including the Northwest Territories 9-1-1 Act.
It will be live-streamed via Twitter and Facebook, and members of the public are also able to view the proceedings at the Legislative Assembly building in Yellowknife.

Ongoing during the session is a potential strike action by the union which governs around 4,000 government employees. The Union of Northern Workers is holding a press conference Tuesday, ahead of mediation with the GNWT starting February 8th.
