Extreme cold warning in Norman Wells

An extreme cold warning has been issued by Environment Canada for the Norman Wells – Tulita region. Temperatures could reach as low as minus 50 this afternoon in Norman Wells and Fort Good Hope. The extreme wind chills is expected to persist until the temperature increases Wednesday morning.

Environment Canada warns to be sure to check on family and neighbours, especially if they plan to be outside for a extended period of time and keep an eye for cold-like symptoms.
