Lamborghini won by Yellowknife resident

A prize of a brand new Lamborghini has been won by a Yellowknife resident. The West Edmonton Mall has once again put a Lamborghini up to be won in a draw this year and though they didn’t quite sell all of their tickets, 138 000 were printed, so a lot of tickets were sold. The Huracan Spyder LP 580-2 up to be won is valued at $313 629. On Sunday, January 6th the mall drew their winner and participants were shocked to hear the winner came from Yellowknife. The lucky winner was Lisa K.

On the facebook video of the draw, Lisa commented “Thank you everyone !!! Extremely happy Just thanking God for all his blessings… just can’t believe it… ❤️”

Many on the facebook video comments has questioned whether a sports car like the one Lisa won could fair well in Yellowknife, but the mall has no cash prize option for the winner. So it will be up to the winner to decide what to do with the new car.

Funds raised by the raffle go towards supporting The Universal Educational Institute of Canada and The Canadian Digestive Health Foundation.

The West Edmonton Mall has run this draw now for 10 years with a new car each year. They have already begun selling tickets for the next car, a 2019 McLaren Lamborghini valued at $423 109.25. Maybe lightning can strike twice and the north can get lucky once again.
