Community grant funding open for 2019

Community rant funding in Yellowknife is now open. The city has opened its community grant applications providing funding to not-for-profit organizations for 2019.

The purpose of the grant is to assist non-profits in the organization of events, projects and programming that align with the City of Yellowknife objectives, have a clear community impact and that respond to community needs.

Non-profits in Yellowknife can apply for three different types of grants from the City.

  • Community Service Grant: A one-year grant of up to $10,000 awarded to non-profit organizations in the city for start-up or enhancement of programs or projects.
  • Sponsorship Grant: A one-year grant of up to $20,000 awarded to established non-profit organizations in the city to sponsor or host an event.
  • Multi-Year Grant: A three-year grant of up to $80,000 awarded to established non-profit organizations in the city for operational requirements, programs and/or projects.
