Raise the roof for the Rockhill fire benefit concert

Get ready to raise the roof in support of those who lost their homes in the Rockhill fire with the Northern Arts And Cultural Centre.

Raise the roof is going to be one wild event on December 4th featuring an incredible amount of local talents such as Gold Range legends Welder’s Daughter, Rock’n’rollers Priscilla’s Revenge, Traditional-modern-Northern group Ceilidh Friends, Jazz pianist and singer Natasha Duchene and Indie-folk songwriter Thelma Cheechoo. The MC for the event will be Maggie Mercredi

Tickets to the Rockhill fire benefit concert are $40 and if you get there by 6 you get to enjoy a special pre-show by Aurora Chorealis and Bella Dance Academy. You also get to enjoy a delicious chowder and bannock prepared by Flavour Trader’s own Etienne as well as some scrumptious cookies and cupcakes baked just for this event by Devine Sweets.

The Northwest Territories department of Infrastructure has issued a closure caution for the Dettah Ice Road, for an anticipated Friday closure. According to the message posted on Wednesday on social media and the Drive NWT website, the road “may occur earlier as conditions continue to deteriorate.”
