Hay River Results

Hay River will see eight new council members after their election last night. Though the town has known their new mayor for a couple weeks now, there was still plenty of excitement as they learned their new council members. With only two returning members, the town will see 6 new members of the community take their seats on council.

Kandis Jameson will take the mayor seat after being acclaimed. Steve Anderson and Keith Dohey return to their council seats and bring along newcomers Robert Bouchard, Emily Chambers, Linda Duford, Jeffrey Groenewegen, Brian Willows and Joseph Melanson.

The council is full of new blood as there is only 3 returning members of the nine including the mayor.
