A man is facing charges after barricading himself inside a home in Fort Smith. On October 4th, RCMP responded to reports that the man was armed and wouldn’t come out of the home. It’s alleged he also made threats. A police negotiation team was brought in and the suspect man was arrested.
The 33 year old of Fort Smith has been charged with uttering threats, unauthorized possession of a firearm and careless use of a firearm.
The accused is scheduled to appear in territorial court in Yellowknife on October 12th.
