They City of Yellowknife gets to know their mayor and council candidates even more thanks to a local club. The Yellowknife Mountain Bike Club has conducted a survey with the candidates. Questions include whether they support operation bike park, if they commute by bicycle, safety for cyclists, recreational trail development and more.
So far three of the mayoral candidates and eight of the council candidates have provided answers. The club is still expecting answers, and will add them as soon as they are provided to the club. You can read the answers here.
On Monday October 15th, Yellowknife will vote in a new mayor, eight councillors and will vote on the length of the term for the council.
