RCMP are investigating after an armed man barricaded himself inside a Fort Smith home.
RCMP responded to a complaint of an armed and barricaded man inside a home in Fort Smith around 8 pm on Wednesday.
The Northwest Territories RCMP Emergency Response Team assisted, including negotiators, and in the late afternoon October 4, the man was arrested without incident.
“This was a single incident and the public is not at risk,” the RCMP state in a news release.
The investigation continues and no further information will be released at this time.
