Police are keeping a close eye on the illegal sale of alcohol in Wha’Ti. In just two days, three people have been arrested for booze related offences.
On Sunday, RCMP took two people into custody after officers seized a total of 32 bottles of liquor and 7 cans of beer. Then, on Monday, another person reportedly tried to bring 11 bottles of liquor into the dry community.
Mounties say that given the time of the year, this is a significant seizure for the community. Fighting substance abuse is a top priority for RCMP in Wha’Ti.
Anyone with information on the illegal sale of alcohol is asked to contact the detachment.
