Winter trucked water service starts next week

Yellowknife’s winter trucked water services will begin next week

Surface water lines will be turned off on Monday, September 17. After shut down, there will be a period of approximately two weeks, during which crews will disassemble and winterize the lines.

Residents are being asked to make sure their tanks are full before 7:00 a.m. on September 17 as delivery schedules will not resume until the first normally scheduled day following this date.

The winter trucked water delivery service will start on Monday, and the schedule is as follows:

Monday-Thursday

  • Peace River Flats
  • Willow Flats
  • MacDonald Drive
  • School Draw

Tuesday-Friday

  • Latham Island
  • All of Kam Lake and Coronation Drive

Starting Saturday, September 15:

Wednesday-Saturday

  • The remainder of Kam Lake Industrial Park including Grace Lake
  • Old Airport Road

Please ensure indicator lights and water overflows are in good condition and that access to water hookups are clean and clear of debris.
