2018 Business Awards draw record nominations

A record number of local companies have been nominated for this year’s 2018 Business Awards. The Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce has announced the nominees, which include 17 for Small Business of the Year alone.

“This is the fifth year we’ve hosted the Business Award Gala, and we received a record 143 nominations,” says President Mike Lalonde. “It’s great to see so many people taking the time to recognize and nominate local businesses. We’re excited to showcase and celebrate these outstanding businesses and their contributions to the Yellowknife business community.”

The annual awards recognize Yellowknife chamber members that have been up and running for at least three years, other than those up for the Breakout New Business Award. They will be recognized at a gala at the Chateau Nova on October 19th.
