Yellowknife RCMP arrest suspect in stabbing

RCMP have arrested and charged a man after a stabbing in downtown Yellowknife on Friday

RCMP received a complaint of a fight in progress and a secondary call of an injured man around 8 p.m. Friday evening and attended the area of 49th Street and 50th Avenue.

One man suffering from stab wounds to his head was transported to the hospital.

RCMP have not provided an update on his condition.

The RCMP arrested and charged Kurtis Thrasher with one count of aggravated assault and one count of failing to comply with an undertaking. Thrasher was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow.
