Yellowknife RCMP are investigating after a man was hit by an ambulance on Friday.
At around 1:15 pm on Friday, July 20, Yellowknife RCMP received a call reporting that a person had been injured by a vehicle. Yellowknife RCMP attended the scene at Stanton Territorial Hospital, near the back ambulance bay.
The investigation shows that the incident occurred outside of the ambulance bay exit door. A man was struck by a City of Yellowknife ambulance as it exited the door. The man was assessed by the City’s Emergency Response team and treated for non-serious injuries at Stanton Territorial Hospital.
The investigation is continuing and currently shows no indication of criminality.
