Yellowknife RCMP seized 41 bottles of Smirnoff Vodka as a result of an investigation into illegal alcohol sales from a home in Ndilo.

Ndilo man charged with bootlegging

On Saturday evening, Yellowknife RCMP began an investigation into a suspected incident of the illegal sales of alcohol from a home in N’dilo.

RCMP investigated the allegation which led to a search warrant being executed at the suspected residence. A man from N’dilo was arrested without incident and a search of the house yielded 41 mickeys of Smirnoff Vodka.

The man has been charged with three offences under the Liquor Act.

Yellowknife RCMP thanked the public for their contribution to the investigation.

A set of testing earlier this month confirmed coliform and e-coli soil contamination on the school grounds, following stagnant water buildup in the basement. In the meantime the public is being advised to keep away and keep their pets away from the fenced off area on Mildred Hall grounds.
