Construction season begins in Yellowknife

Construction begins today on Franklin Avenue.

Lane closures between Old Airport Road and Forrest drive will reduce traffic in both directions to one lane.
Starting on Wednesday, Franklin will be closed between Reservoir Road and Forrest Drive.
Traffic will be detoured via Reservoir Road  while the city installs several service upgrades to the road, including a 350 m section of sewer line upgrade, bus turnouts and street light upgrades.
There will be no access to Franklin from Gitzel Street.
