NWT Road Safety Week wraps up

Last week was National Road Safety week in the Northwest Territories. 

National Road Safety Week is an annual awareness campaign organized by the Canada Safety Council that focuses on dangerous driving behaviour.

The GNWT and the RCMP conducted nearly 2500 check stops over the course of the week, and found 80 infractions under the Motor Vehicles Act, eight distracted driving charges, four impaired driving charges and six road-side suspensions.
