GNWT to test Alert Ready System

The Government of the Northwest Territories will be running another NWT Alert Ready test this afternoon.

Residents may see and/or hear the public alert test on their cell phone, radio stations and cable networks across the NWT.

The tests are being run for the Alert Ready system, which will be used to notify listeners during emergencies and disasters. The GNWT expects the full implementation of the system for 2019.

The Alert Ready tests are done up to 5 times per year.

Moose FM listeners will hear the sound right at 1:55pm.
