After late-night closure, Dempster highway re-opens

The Government of the Northwest Territories’ Department of Infrastructure is advising residents on the Northwest-end of the Northwest Territories that the Dempster Highway has re-opened.

The Dempster Highway between Fort McPherson and Eagle Plains had closed late last night due to blowing snow.

I-N-F says the road is open and in fair driving condition.

Three more schools show high levels of lead in drinking water, testing so far confirms that 35 of 45 schools sites in the N.W.T. have elevated levels of lead, about 78 per cent. Two more schools in the territory showed elevated levels of copper in drinking water.
