RCMP offer update on Billy Cholo homicide investigation

Fort Simpson RCMP and NT RCMP Major Crimes have given an update on a homicide investigation that dates back to 2014.

Fort Simpson RCMP began a missing person’s investigation in January, 2014. Police would later find the body of Billy Cholo in a gazebo.

Since the discovery of Cholo’s body, the RCMP have followed any and all leads. This led to an arrest in 2017. The suspect was later released with no charges.

Recently, a Fort Simpson man’s ‘What Happened to Billy Cholo’ stickers have attempted to keep the file in the public’s eye. RCMP are now offering an update on the case.
