YK Sobering Centre to remain in Salvation Army for 6 more months

The Government of the Northwest Territories has extended its lease with the Yellowknife Salvation Army to continue housing the Sobering Centre.

The GNWT is still working on long-term renovations that are being done to the soon-to-be permanent Centre location at 5111 50th Street in Yellowknife.

The extension is for 6-months.

The eventual transition to the permanent location is planned to take place later this year.
