A Yellowknife man is facing charges following a case of aggravated assault in downtown Yellowknife late Friday night.
The victim, a 23-year old man from Whitehorse, was taken to Stanton Territorial Hospital for medical treatment. He was then transported to Edmonton for further treatment.
A 22-year-old man is facing charges of aggravated assault. He appeared before a Justice of the Peace over the weekend. He was released on a recognizance and will reappear in court on April 24th.
The RCMP says the investigation is continuing.
