Fire in Coast Fraser Tower parking lot

The Yellowknife Fire Division put in some work late last night after a truck had been found on fire.

The truck was in the parking lot of Coast Fraser Tower when a fire started underneath the hood.

The YKFD responded as quickly as possible and were able to put the fire out without the flames extending beyond the vehicle. Fire officials also checked inside the building, making sure smoke did not make it’s way into the air vents.

Within the hour, the RCMP were able to take over the case for a follow-up investigation.

The RCMP said, via email, the investigation has been closed, “with no evidence of criminality.
