‘No one was hurt’; Curry Drive fire engulfs single unit

Yellowknife Fire Division and the Office of the Fire Marshal for the NWT are in the middle of an investigation.

A fire occurred on Curry Drive last week. The blaze engulfed an individual garage. The city confirmed, via email that the unit was not attached to another structure. It was also confirmed that no injuries were sustained during the fire.

No one was hurt as the structure was a garage/shop that was not attached to a dwelling unit (the home was located further back on the lot). So no one was hurt/injured.

Last week’s fire was the second fire on Curry Drive in a two months span. The first Curry Drive fire was one of a string of fires. It also warranted contacting the Office of the Fire Marshal.

The City of Yellowknife has been contacted for further updates on the December fires.
