The City of Yellowknife announced an open house for the Kam Lake Road sewage clean-up yesterday.
A sewage main had ruptured, causing a flood along Kam Lake Road. The cause of the break remains undetermined.
As it stands, the City is considering cleaning up the frozen mess by using lime to disinfect the area.
According to a City official, “all of the frozen sewage is being hauled to the sewage lagoon.”
The open house is set for February 13 at 7 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Chamber.
