Gitzel Street stabbing suspect in police custody

A Yellowknife man is being charged in connection to a stabbing last week.

The assault happened at an apartment building on Gitzel St.

The victim had serious injuries and was transported to Stanton Territorial for medical treatment.

Jerry Rogers, 34, was found inside the apartment building. He was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault. He has been has been remanded into custody until Monday, February 5th.

The RCMP says the investigation continues.
