This morning, reports came in that traffic was backed up due to a detached trailer laying on Old Airport Road.
The City of Yellowknife confirmed the reports, stating via email:
“At approximately 11:05 a.m., a Municipal Enforcement Division Officer on patrol was travelling in the same direction as the tractor trailer in question with several vehicles between them when the trailer became detached from the semi-truck on Old Airport Road near the cemetery access road. The driver was able to hook up to the trailer and cleared the area around 11:25 am.”
The City then confirmed that MED officers will be investigating whether or not charges will be laid.
