Local arts organizations receive $727K in funding

The Canada Arts Presentation Fund will provide funding for three local arts organizations.

Member of Parliament, Michael McLeod, made the announcement yesterday. The Northern Arts and Cultural Centre, Folk on the Rocks, and the Association Franco-Culturelle de Yellowknife will receive a collective $727 000.

McLeod said the funding is to make sure people will be able to continue to enjoy the programming provided.

This funding will ensure that these organizations will continue to offer the valuable programming they’ve worked so hard to develop, while ensuring that Northerners continue to enjoy the benefits of their efforts, talents and success.
