Hay River’s Gordon convicted of child pornography charges

A former Hay River track star has been convicted of numerous child-porn related charges.

At 21-years old, Joel Gordon posed as a high school student while messaging five girls under the age of 16. He was officially convicted yesterday on charges of distributing child pornography, child luring and extortion

In November, Gordon, now 23, pleaded guilty to the charges.

His sentencing date is scheduled for February 12th.
