What a time for a power outage to happen.
Wind chills dropped to near -50℃ last night in Yellowknife.
The outage lasted less than an hour, with some experiences shorter than others across the City. Power was restored just after Midnight.
We’ve reached out to the Northwest Territories Power Corporation and Northland Utilities for further detail.
Doug Prendergast, Communications Manager for the NTPC says the cause is “unknown at this time but trouble shooting is underway.”
