RCMP announce Candy Cane Check Stop

The Yellowknife RCMP have announced their second Candy Cane Check Stop of the month.

The Yellowknife RCMP, in partnership with the Ecole St. Patrick High School Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD), are asking all motorists to “be safe over this holiday season, wear your seat belt, ensure children are properly buckled in, have a sober ride home (designated driver or a taxi) and enjoy the holidays responsibly.

RCMP and St. Pat’s SADD volunteers will be on Franklin Avenue near the intersection of 54th Street next Wednesday, December 27th, from 10:00am – 11:00am. RCMP members and St. Pat’s SADD volunteers will be handing out candy canes, along with information about Impaired Driving.
