GNWT celebrate 50 years with “scrapbook-like” project

Experience the history of the GNWT through a brand new series of videos.

The project was released earlier this week to commemorate the 50 years of Government in the territory.

Designed by NWT artist Alison McCreesh, the project features a scrapbook-like style journey through the personal stories, photos and video of the Northwest Territories.

With the announcement of the project, Premier Bob McLeod said the video allows residents to share memories that have helped shape our home.

Over the past 50 years, the ideas and values of our own people have increasingly guided how policies, programs and services are designed and implemented. We have much to be proud of, and I invite all residents to take this opportunity to learn more about the story of our government and to share their own memories of the people and events that have made it what it is today.

The GNWT 50 Commemorative Project can be experienced here.
