UPDATE: Suspicious Hay River man was looking for lost pet

Hay River RCMP are ending their investigation of a suspicious man at a local school.

On Tuesday night, the suspected man was identified and located. The investigation concluded when police determined the man was trying to find a lost pet. The man thought it may be near the school area. The RCMP have closed the file with no public safety concerns.

The RCMP says they would like to thank the public for their assistance.
