City conducts controlled burn in Parker Park area

There is going to be a controlled burn in the Parker Park area.

The City of Yellowknife says the burn began yesterday.

They’re trying to remove brush from the summer’s Fire Smarting activities.

The City is asking residents to not enter the area during the burn, but residents can use the sliding hill and trails on either side of the area.

The burn will be on-going until next Tuesday, December 19th.
