City brings back Snow Angel program

The City of Yellowknife is looking to fight the harsh winter days with their Snow Angel program.

The City’s campaign encourages citizens to clear snow and ice from the sidewalks of neighbours who require assistance.

Yellowknife Mayor Mark Heyck says the winter season can be hard on some Yellowknife residents.

The Snow Angel program is a great opportunity for neighbours to help each other and ensure winter is an enjoyable time for everyone.

Become a Snow Angel by offering to shovel the snow for neighbours or sign up on the City’s website. A map will populate as Snow Angels sign up. Residents who are looking for assistance can take a look at the map in their area to see who is available to help. Snow Angels, and those in need of assistance, can then be in direct contact with each other.
