Yellowknife man faces charges following late night collision

A Yellowknife man is expected to appear in court following a collision in the Range Lake area.

Late Wednesday night, Yellowknife RCMP received multiple calls of a vehicle driving around erratically.

The Red Ford Explorer SUV would later collide with a parked van and fire hydrant on Dagenais Drive.

RCMP officers responded to the scene. A person identified as the driver of the SUV was located in a home nearby.

Police say there were no reported injuries.

Dean Ruben, 27, has been charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fail to Comply with Court Conditions.

Ruben was released on a Justice of the Peace undertaking and will appear in court next Tuesday, on December 5th.
