Power outage on Old Airport Road

There is a considerably large power outage along Old Airport Road.

A listener direct messaged the Moose’s Facebook Page to report the fact, saying “Airport road from GSH is without power all the way to the airport.

The Northwest Territories Power Corporation then confirmed via Twitter that a power outage is in effect.

Partial outage in YK – one feeder affected. NUL is investigating problem on the line.

Update – @NorthlandUtil has located the source of the problem. Crew is on site working on repair.


Update:

Northland Utilities has identified and corrected the issue. Power should be restored.

Aklavik Access Road closes April 30, one day earlier than anticipated
