UPDATE: Women claims by-law officer verbally assaulted her and her daughter at parade

There is an update to a story that was published earlier this morning.

Over the weekend, Krista Boizard claims that a city by-law officer verbally harassed her and her daughter when trying to find a way out of the downtown area.

At the time of publishing, no official complaint had been made. Boizard initially claimed she was uneasy about reporting the incident, assuming the complaint would be swept aside. She later mentioned her roommate had convinced her to consider a complaint.

As of this afternoon, Boizard says she has issued an official complaint.

The City of Yellowknife confirmed the complaint and says the incident is under further investigation. They declined further comment.
