Inuvik Access Road to have culvert replaced

As the Dempster highway into the town of Inuvik reopens, the community awaits relief for a fuel shortage that hit amid extreme cold temperatures in the region. Inuvik leadership reports that fuel is en route and with temperatures warming, the news is bringing some relief.

32-year-old Kelly Tsetta of Ndilǫ was reported missing on January 7th, 2026. She was last seen on January 4th, 2026. Her family and the police are concerned for her wellbeing.

Staff at Aurora College are working with specialists and partners to resolve the impacts of a cybersecurity attack that caused “damage” to the school’s online platforms over the winter break. A man who was charged in relation to three armed robberies that took place in Yellowknife in 2024 has been sentenced to 4 years in custody.
