23-year old Hay River track star faces child pornography charge

A former Hay River track star has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges.

Joel Gordon was facing 22 total charges, including possession of child pornography and threatening to distribute nude photos of young girls.

The 23-year old won a silver medal for the Northwest Territories at the 2013 Canada Summer Games.

Gordon was not present for the plea.

He will appear in a Yellowknife court in January for his sentencing.
