Elderly woman’s purse stolen, RCMP still searching for suspect

Yellowknife RCMP are searching for a robbery suspect.

On Tuesday night, an elderly woman was pushed to the ground on 53 Street. Her purse was taken. She was sent to Stanton Territorial Hospital.

Police searched for the suspect but were unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as male and was last seen running towards Bison Hill Apartments wearing a black jacket with a black hood.

The purse is described as a black, medium-sized leather purse containing a small, black leather-bound bible along with a status card and identification card.
