Broken water pipe floods section of Downtown Yellowknife

The City of Yellowknife is currently dealing with a broken water pipe.

The break occurred sometime this morning along Franklin Avenue.

A spokesperson for the City said in an email “50th Avenue adjacent 4115 50th Avenue will be reduced to one lane, traffic which shall be maintained by flag persons.

Repairs are expected to last until later tonight.
