RCMP investigate alleged threat to Yellowknife school

Yellowknife RCMP have completed an investigation into an alleged online threat made to Sir John Franklin High School.

RCMP received the complaint yesterday and immediately began the investigation.

Officers worked with Sir John and the YK1 School District and located the source of the alleged threat.

The investigation determined that there was no credible threat. At no time were students at risk, nor was the school placed in a lock down procedure.

Yellowknife RCMP said they would like to thank both YK1 and Sir John Franklin for their cooperation.
