UPDATE: GTA, from Alberta to YK

Yellowknife RCMP have arrested a 17-year old male connected to a stolen pick-up truck.

Nearly two weeks ago, police responded to reports of erratic driving in the downtown area.

The suspected grey Dodge Ram pick-up truck was located but quickly fled the scene. The truck then collided with two parked cars.

No injuries were reported in relation to the crash.

The truck was found to have been stolen from Grande Prairie, Alberta.

The teen is facing nine charges:

  • Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle.
  • Flight from Police.
  • Possession of Property obtained by crime over $5000.
  • Resist/Obstruct peace officer.
  • Five counts of Failure to Comply with condition of undertaking or recognizance.

He will be appearing in court today.
