Yellowknife RCMP arrest suspect in theft case

A Yellowknife man is facing charges in connection to a series of thefts.

On Tuesday, Yellowknife RCMP received a complaint of a cell phone being stolen from the Ruth Inch Memorial Pool. A description of the suspect was provided.

They were found Downtown.

Further investigation found the suspect was responsible for several more break and enters and thefts.

The suspect, 35, is facing six counts of theft under $5000, and one count of break and enter.

They’ve been remanded until tomorrow.
