Army Reserve opens doors across Canada

Visit the Canadian Army Reserve Open House this Saturday.

Across the country, armories will be opening their doors in an effort to recruit new members to the Canadian Army Reserve.

Reservists will show Canadians what the work entails through interactive displays, conversations, and activities.

Under ‘Strong, Secure, Engaged: Canada’s Defence Policy‘, the Government of Canada has committed to increasing the size of the Reserve Force to 30,000, which is an increase of 1,500. They are also looking to reduce the length of time it takes for someone to join the Reserve Force to roughly 30 days.

The Canadian Army Reserve Open House will take place in Yellowknife on September 30, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 3 Coronation Drive, Bay 5.
